Product Rave: Nexxus Maximum Super Hold Hairspray and Finishing Mist

I have very fine, limp hair and it is such a struggle to find a hairspray that will hold my hair but, doesn't make it feel crunchy or that my hair doesn't move. Well, I purchased a hairspray yesterday that I think has really solved my problem. It's Nexxus Maxximum Super Hold Hairspray. This stuff really holds my hair but, it is still so soft and manageable. If you haven't tried this stuff I would HIGHLY recommend doing so. Also, as an added bonus it is advertised as a 'Finishing Spray' so it leaves my hair conditioned and shinny (WIN WIN!!!)

It can be purchased at any local drugstore or Wal-mart Target etc where Nexxus products are sold, retails around $7

Thanks for stopping by guys!!!
Have a great rest of the weekend

Review: Revlon SuperLustrous Lip Gloss

I always have about ten different lipgloss options in my purse at all times. I feel like a lip color just completes any make up look. My absolute fav lip gloss brand is the Revlon SuperLustrous. The shade selection is fantastic and the texture and feel of the gloss is not they typical gummy tacky feel on my lips. Of course, like all my products, it is pretty in-expensive and can be found at any local drugstore or wal-mart, target etc...

Here is my collection! Revlon has alot more color choices and they are constantly introducing new colors for different times of year!!!

From LEFT to RIGHT:
Foiled, Life's a Peach, Pink Whisper, Pink Afterglow, Shine that Pink, Glossy Rose, Pink Pursuit (10% of proceeds benefit Breast Cancer Research), Coral Reef (new shade),Pink Pop (new shade)

From Left Column down to Right Column down:
Foiled, Life's a Peach, Pink Whisper, Pink Afterglow, Shine that Pink, Glossy Rose, Pink Pursuit (10% of proceeds benefit Breast Cancer Research), Coral Reef (new shade),Pink Pop (new shade)

DrugStore Products I Regret Buying

Hi Everyone!

We have all made that mistake buying that beauty product that looks so irresistible then trying it out and realizing we just wasted out money :-( Have no fear I am hoping by telling you about my misfortune with these products will save you from having to deal with the same issue!

Like that guy you wish you had never dated, here are my mistakes:

1) Dream Matte Mousse Foundation: When I first would apply this foundation in the morning it did give me a good 'airbrushed' effect but as the day progressed so the that nice 'airbrushed' finish. Around my nose area would start to look dry and patchy and underneath my eyes as well. By the end of the day I looked like I had been in out in the desert. My skin looked so uneven and the foundation would rub off on everything.

2) Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara: I so desperately wanted to like this mascara but, it just made my eyelashes clump together and appear somewhat stumpy. I don't know maybe it was the formula or the brush or maybe those combined but, it just looked horrible when I applied just the first coat. And when I applied the second it looked like I just had two huge eye lashes, they had clumped together so bad!

3) Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips - Healthy Glow If you like glitter then this is for you, me however, I try to steer clear of all that's gold (or shades of pink in this case). I had to work with my brush for a good solid minute just to pick up any color at all on the brush. There is no pigment to this at all. Then when I would put it on my cheeks the only color that would show up was the silver, and the Tin Man was never my favorite character in the Wizard of Oz so I didn't feel comfortable looking like him.

4) Maybelline Line Stilletto Liquid Eye Liner The biggest issue with this I think is the applicator. It is a very thick and uneven felt tip. There is no way you can apply this in a thin line, whenever I applied this I always looked like I was heading out to the clubs at 7am.

5) Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss-Pink Afterglow First, let me say overall I LOVE the superlustrous lipgloss line. But like every family, you got to have that bad seed in there somewhere and the shade "Pink AfterGlow" is it! The amount of glitter in this lipgloss is ridiculous. The only time this lip gloss would be beneficial is if I was trying to flag down a plane from the sky by using the reflection from the sun off this lipgloss. After you wear the lipgloss for awhile it drys down and all your left with is little tiny glitter specs on your lips that you can't get off. No thanks!

6) Loreal Bare Naturale Gentle Lip Conditioner I had high hopes for this lip product. I was under the impression with the name "lip conditioner" it would feel more like a balm then a gloss. Well you can't have your balm and wear your gloss too. This stuff was terrible, the texture was sticky and tacky and the color was so un even (what color there was) I would definitely steer clear of this beauty mishap!

Well, there is my rant! If you have any products you regret buying let me know what they are and why.

Thanks for stopping by!

Top 5 "M.V.P" DrugStore Products

Hi Everyone!

The older I've got and the more I wear and know more about makeup I have realized you don't always need the most expensive mascara or foundation. Sometimes the best products with the most amazing results are just down the street from your house, in your local drugstore! And let's face it, who isn't excited about having a little more in your pocket nowadays (that just means you can spend that extra on more makeup :-) So without further ado (drum roll please)

My top 5 CANNOT live without make up products:

1) Face: Revlon ColorStay Liquid Foundation This stuff is incredible! From the long lasting finish to the flawless complection it gives. I could not go a day without this little gem in my makeup bag! The feeling on your face is not that of a typical liquid foundation. Gone are the days of feeling like you are wearing a mud mask. This feels so light on my skin I wouldn't know I was wearing it if I didn't see the results in the mirror.
Price: 10.99-12.99

2) Face: Maybelline Dream Matte Powder When using a liquid foundation you should always use a little powder to set the liquid. And this stuff can't be beat! I have about five setting face powder compacts in my collection and time after time this is the one I reach for when I want the best results! This coverage is sheer and not cakey yet, it just sets everything perfectly. And although the brand doesn't advertise it as a "long wearing" makeup product. I think they should start, this stuff doesn't budge. I have an office job and sit at a desk about six hours of my work day. And I have a nasty habbit of proping my head in my hands and normally I could get a little transfer but, not with this stuff once it's on it stays put! And the finish it gives to skin is so natural.
Price: 5.99 - 7.99

3) Cheeks: NYC ColorWheel Blush Ok, I admit the different shades of pink in the mosaic wheel can be a bit frightning but, I promise somehow this blush transforms to compliment ALL skin tones. It just gives off a very youthful perfect pink. And brightens up everyones complextion!
Price: 2.99-3.99

4) Lips: Maybelline Moisture Extreme LipStick - Sugar Plum Ice I have never been a fan of in your face mauves or reds for lipcolors. When I came across this lip color I was in heaven. This is the PERFECT combination of a soft nude with a hint of pink. I wear this pretty much everyday. And the product name is right on the money "moisture extreme" this feels more like a chapstick then a lipstick. I would highly recommend you keep this in your beauty bag at all times. It is perfect alone or to layer under a soft pink or nude lipgloss for a little highlight.
Price: 2.99-4.99

5) Eyes: Revlon Colorstay 12-hour Eye Shadow This is another 'ColorStay' product and it holds true to it's name. This eye shadow is extremely pigmented and stays on from morning to night. Each compact has four shadow colors (more bang for your buck!) and perfect for creating the complete eye look from browbone highlight to contour and eye lid all over color. Each color combination is very wearable for day or evening. They will last you forever, I have had the same ones for over a year and still haven't even made a dent in it.
Price: 5.99-7.99

Well, there you have it, my hand selected best of the best drugstore products! I hope you get a chance to try some of these and I promise you will wonder how you ever got along without them :-)
